What happens if I experience small static shocks while I am vacuuming?
Certain dry temperatures in winter or in desert areas may cause common static electricity to build up in the vacuum and produce small shocks, similar to what you might experience from door knobs, wool sweaters, or blankets. This is harmless. To avoid this, we recommend moisturizing your hands and/or removing wool socks or sweaters prior to vacuuming.

What should I do if the brushroll light is off and the brushroll will not spin?
  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Press down on the two buttons on the floor nozzle to pop up the brushroll garage lid. Lift the brushroll out by the tab on the left side. With scissors, carefully remove any string, hair or debris that may be wrapped around the brushroll.
  3. Return the brushroll to the garage and press down on all sides of the brushroll garage lid until it clicks into place.
  4. Plug in the unit. Step lightly on the floor nozzle and tilt the handle back to engage the brushroll. Now turn on the unit.
  5. If the light is red, see "What should I do if the brushroll light is red and the brushroll will not spin?"
