Filters

How often should I wash the filters?
We recommend washing pre-motor filters every month. To wash, simply remove the filter lid on the top of the hand vacuum, then remove the foam and felt filters underneath. Wash both with tap water until the water runs clear, then air-dry completely and re-insert into your vacuum. You can also tap loose dirt off filters between washes as needed. Note that foam filters may appear dirty after first use – this is normal. These filters will discolor over time – this is also normal. Filters are designed to last the lifetime of the vacuum, but extras are available on sharkaccessories.com.

Wash the post-motor filter once a year. Remove the exhaust cover from the back of the hand vacuum, then remove the filter. Wash with tap water until the water runs clear, then air-dry completely and re-insert into your vacuum.

Make sure all filters are completely dry before placing back into your vacuum.
