Battery

My battery seems to have short run time.
The initial charge on the battery is approximately 30%. Fully charge the battery (3.5 hours minimum; overnight preferred) and assess battery performance.

Note that battery run time is affected by the setting you’re using while vacuuming. Vacuuming on the ION Boost setting will reduce battery runtime quicker than vacuuming on the ION Power setting. The runtimes listed below are based on 100% capacity.

What if my ION Power Core battery feels warm or is indicating that it is too warm to charge?
Your ION Power Core battery may feel warm during use. If it feels uncomfortably warm, stop using the vacuum and allow the battery to cool. If the battery continues to feel warm, or you see any of the below LED indicators, please follow the associated actions.

The charger is designed to monitor many factors of the battery. After use, batteries can get warm – a condition that is not optimal for charging. In such cases, the charger waits for the battery temperature to decrease to the optimal point before it begins charging.

If you have allowed the unit and battery to cool and it still will not charge, please contact Customer Care at 1-877-581-7375.

The battery is not charging.
  • Batteries outside of temperature range may not begin charging immediately. Move to room-temperature area and/or allow battery to cool before charging. Note: the battery may remain on the charger, as it will start charging as soon as it returns to optimal temperature.
  • Please review battery runtimes:
  • When charging with the cradle, ensure the battery is pressed all the way down onto the cradle and that charge indicator lights illuminate.
  • If using the Charge & Go floor dock, ensure vacuum pod is securely mounted to dock and that charge indicator lights illuminate.
  • When charging with cradle or floor dock, insert the charger plug into the port and rotate to lock into place. Battery will not charge unless the charger is locked into place.
  • Try plugging the charger directly into the battery.

Brushrolls

What do I do if my brushroll doesn’t turn on?
  1. Make sure the nozzle is flat against the floor and the vacuum is tilted back out of upright lock.
  2. Make sure the power button is on.
  3. If red light is illuminated on the floor nozzle, turn power off and remove battery, then check for blockages.
  4. Remove any excess hair that is wrapped around the brushroll and the soft brushroll or is trapped behind the soft brushroll. Avoid damaging or cutting the bristles.
  5. If headlights are not illuminated, there is a connection issue between the handle, hose, pod, wand, and nozzle. Try disconnecting the pieces and then reconnecting them, sliding in each one until it clicks securely into place.

What do I do if the brushroll stops spinning?
First, make sure the vacuum is turned off. Then, turn the vacuum back on and tilt the vacuum back while gently stepping on the floor nozzle. Note that when you lock the vacuum in the upright position, the brushroll will stop spinning after a few seconds.

If the brushroll is still not spinning, check for blockages in the brushroll and that there are no connection issues between the parts. Then repeat the steps above.
