How do I check for blockages?
Remove and inspect all hoses and tubes to make sure there are no obstructions.
Check the air duct behind the dust cup.
Check the floor nozzle to ensure there are no blockages in the air path or hair and fibers are wrapped around the brushroll.

What do I do if my vacuum's airflow is restricted?
Check for blockages; see "Checking for Blockages" in the instruction manual.
Check accessories and clear blockages if necessary.
Empty the dust cup and clean the filters.

What do I do if my vacuum turns off on its own?
Reset the motor thermostat. See "Resetting the Motor Thermostat" in your instruction manual.

What do I do if my brushroll doesn’t turn on?
Make sure the nozzle is flat against the floor and the handle is tilted back.
Make sure the brushroll setting is engaged.
If red light is illuminated on the floor power nozzle, see “Checking for Blockages” in your instruction manual.
Remove any excess hair that has wrapped around the brushroll. Carefully cut anything wound around the rotating brush with scissors. Avoid damaging or cutting the bristles.
Check to ensure the canister if fully engaged and making an electrical connection with the floor nozzle.

What do I do if my vacuum is hard to push or pull on certain carpets or area rugs?
Disengage the brushroll and use the suction-only setting.

What do I do if the vacuum is not picking up dirt?
Check the dust cup and empty if necessary.
Check and clean the foam filters.
If the dust cup and filter don’t require cleaning, check for blockages (see "Checking for Blockages" in instruction manual).

How do I reset the motor thermostat?
To reset the motor thermostat:

Turn the power off.
Unplug the vacuum.
Check for clogged hose or filter. Clear any clogs (see “Checking for Blockages” in instruction manual) and wash filters as necessary.
Wait a minimum of 45 minutes for vacuum to cool; then plug in the vacuum.
Turn the power switch on to start the vacuum.

What do I do if the vacuum doesn’t turn on?
Check to ensure the vacuum is plugged in properly.
