Why won't my VACMOP headlights shut off?
When the trigger or spray button is used, the headlights illuminate and remain on while the VACMOP is in motion. The headlights will automatically shut off after 10 seconds of inactivity. If the headlights stay on after more than 10 seconds of inactivity, contact Customer Service at 1-877-581-7375.

What does the indicator light tell me?
While in use:

1. Solid green or white: everything is working normally.
2. Blinking green or white: battery charge is low.
3. Blinking red: very low battery—battery is almost out of power, recharge immediately.
4. Rapid blinking red: battery has run out of power.

While Charging:

1. Pulsing green or white: the battery is charging.
2. Solid green or white for 5 minutes: battery is fully charged.

Why is my VACMOP not responding when the suction trigger or spray button is activated?
Your VACMOP battery may be low on charge. If the indicator light flashes red or does not illuminate when the suction trigger or spray button is activated, try recharging your VACMOP. If the light doesn't illuminate when charging, contact Customer Service at 1-877-581-7375.

What do I do if fluid is coming out of the VACMOP vents?
If you're using the VACMOP without a pad attached, fluid will leak through the unit. Always attach a pad before vacuuming or mopping. Do not vacuum up large amounts of liquid, as it may leak through the filter. VACMOP is safe to use even when leaking, but its performance may be reduced.

Why isn't my VACMOP charging?
For the VM200 series (Standard Charger):

1. Make sure you are using the charger that came with your VACMOP.
2. Try plugging the unit into a different outlet.
3. Ensure that the charger is plugged all the way into the unit. If the charger is plugged all the way in, the indicator light will illuminate.
4. If the unit is plugged into the charger and the indicator light is red, the charger is faulty or the wrong charger is being used. Replace the charger. If the problem persists, contact Customer Service at 1-877-581-7375.

For the VM250 series (Magnetic Charger):

1. Make sure you are using the charger that came with your VACMOP.
2. Try plugging the charger into a different outlet.
3. The magnetic charger might be misaligned with the unit. Remove the charger from the unit and reattach it to the center of the charging contact. If the charger is attached correctly, the indicator light will illuminate.
4. If the unit is plugged into the charger and the indicator light is red, the charger is faulty or the wrong charger is being used. Replace the charger.

If the problem persists, contact Customer Service at 1-877-581-7375.

What should I do if suction is reduced or if my unit is not picking up debris?
1. Check the indicator light on the front panel of your VACMOP. If the LED is blinking red or not illuminating when the suction trigger or spray button is used, connect your unit to a charger.
2. Remove the pad by pressing the green release button on the VACMOP base. If the dirt chamber on the pad is filled with debris or saturated with liquid, replace the pad.
3. If the suction was triggered without a pad attached, debris may be trapped in the connection point between the hose and the VACMOP base. Remove the pad and check the inlet on the bottom of the VACMOP base for any blockages. If the problem persists, contact Customer Service at 1-877-581-7375.

Why is the runtime of my VACMOP shorter than usual?
Make sure your VACMOP is fully charged before a cleaning session. It will take a few hours to reach a full charge.

If you are still experiencing reduced runtime, a blockage may be causing reduced efficiency. Check the hose connected to the base for any obstructions.

If the problem persists, please contact Customer Service at 1-877-581-7375.

Why is it taking a long time for the VACMOP Cleaner to dry?
If liquid is pooling on the floor and is taking a long time to dry, you may be using too much cleaning solution, or the pad may be oversaturated and needs to be changed.

If the problem persists, contact Customer Service at 1-877-581-7375.

Why is there floor streaking or residue left behind after mopping?
Shark® VACMOP Cleaner has been specially formulated to provide a residue-free, streak-free finish when used with the Shark® VACMOP. Using other cleaning solutions may result in streaking and residue. If you find residue or streaking on your floors while using our cleaner, it may be due to one of the following:
  • Your floor might not be fully dry yet. If you see streaks or suds while cleaning, just wait 5-10 minutes, and you should see them evaporate, leaving an even finish on your floors.
  • Your floors might have built-up grime and dirt. The first few times you use your VACMOP, it will remove stuck-on dirt and debris that have built up over time. After a few cleaning sessions, the streaking and residue will subside.
  • You may be using too much solution. If you continue to see streaking, reduce the amount of cleaning solution you use. Too much solution can cause stickiness and residue if not properly cleaned off of your floor.
  • The disposable pad might need to be replaced. If you are cleaning multiple times with the same pad, you may be reintroducing dirt onto the floors. Replace your pad, and consider starting each mopping session with a fresh pad to alleviate the issue.

Why is the spray power weaker than usual?
1. You may need to add cleaning solution to the reservoir. Fill the reservoir to the MAX level.
2. Are you using the SHARK® VACMOP Cleaning Solution? Other solutions may cause the spray nozzle to clog.
3. There may be a blockage in the reservoir. Open the lid and check the openings at the bottom of the reservoir and remove any blockages. You may have to close the lid and turn the unit upside down or shake it to dislodge objects blocking the openings.
4. The air hole on the inside of the reservoir lid may be clogged. Open the lid and pinch the rubber cone on the inside to clear the air path.

If the problem persists, contact Customer Service at 1-877-581-7375.

Can I vacuum and mop with the same disposable pad?
VACMOP Disposable Pads can be used for both mopping and vacuuming. The dirt chamber collects and locks away dirt and debris when you vacuum, while the pad’s fibers absorb messes as you mop. Dust and debris collected on the pad when vacuuming will be absorbed when mopping.
